Purpose

According to the IO-Link specification, an IO-Link Master and the IO-Link Device shall be tested to conform the IO-Link EMC tests.

EMC Test Tool (software and hardware) implement Master and Device EMC (electromagnetic compatibility requirements) testing

Prerequisites

For EMC testing an EMC Labor (outside the scope of this document), Windows PC, EMC Test hardware and EMC Test software is required

EMC Test hardware:

  • iqInterface with EMC support

EMC Test software:

  • EMC test tool

Connection

EMC Test hardware supports next connections:

  • USB connection

  • RS232 interface

  • Ethernet port (only for devices with Ethernet option)

EMC Test Tool required Window 7/8/10 PC with appropriate interface

EMC Tests configuration, EMC Labor is defined in Specification “IO-Link Interface and System” and outside the scope of this document.
